Our home port, located in the town of Corralejo (northern Fuerteventura) is the departure point for this comprehensive trip, intended for the whole family, to Lobos Island, sailing in a catamaran with a maximum of 12 passengers plus a semi-rigid for another 12. As soon as we leave the port, the majestic sight of the Lobos Islet will be ahead of us, and we will sail towards it, crossing what we call The River - an arm of the sea which separates the island from the islet along 2 kilometres.
With the wind caressing us, we'll sail on until we reach the west side of Lobos Island, where we can view its lovely La Caldera mountain - a half-submerged volcanic cone - and then head south, until we come opposite La Concha beach, famous for its paradisical calm and its turquoise waters, where the landscape changes totally depending on the tide. This is the matchless setting where we'll cast anchor and divide into two groups of 12, the Catamaran group and the Semi-Rigid group. This is so one group can do our water activities: feed the fish and observe them while snorkelling, go out on a kayak or do paddle surf, or simply daydream while lying in the sun on the Catamaran's net; at the same time the other group will sail on the semi-rigid to one of the most authentic parts of Lobos: the Puertito or Little Port, where the turquoise blue of its little lakes will impress absolutely everyone.
From here we can land on the Isla, so we'll not only hold onto the memory of the image from the sea, but also feel the magic of the islet under our feet. Then we'll go back to the Catamaran to swap groups, and finally to sail back to Corralejo, while our memories, so recent, will turn into something indelible.
